BEFORE ANYTHING I AM A GIRL.....

Alot of people have told me that it could be because of stress.. I'm 13 years old witch is what worries me because i KNOW that this should not be happening at my age and I feel that if this keeps up i might end up bald by the time i'm 20. I was told that when i was younger i didnt have this problem that i had ALOT of hair. But i heard that it was not helthy to wash your hair every day. so i started washing it every other day...i guess it kinda helped but i still dont think its really normal for me to lose so much hair...something else that also makes it hard for me to fix this problem is that i have to use a dandroff shampoo i use head in shoulders but i also heard from a friend that that shampoo is really strong and can also be the couse for my hair loss but my hair loss started WAY before i started using the shampoo.. does anyone know anything that can help??

Okay use conditioners they help strenghten your hair. Also, when you use head and shoulders use a different type of shampoo afterwards that conditions. Buy a hair treatment as well. You may want to go to the nearest beauty supply store and talk to an associate there and they can guide you to the right products. But try taking vitamins (if you are not). Also try taking hair vitamins. They give you more protein. Also, are you on a diet? Sometimes a change in a diet can affect your hair.

You should see a Dr.

Some women suffer from alopecia ... (the clinical term for baldness)... and there is treatment options.

I think you are probably too young for this diagnosis... but, I could be wrong.

It could be stress related or hormonal... You should def see an MD, though

It's normal that we lose hair... even up to a hundred strands ..PER -DAY!

Scary.

I feel I have the same problem as you and I'm 20. I noticed I started losing more hair the past year but maybe I'm only THINKING it and just paying TOO MUCH attention to this supposed hair loss ... But I know that I'm kinda stressed.. and also.. I've dyed my hair way to many times.

You could also be stressed too even though you're 13. It's ok and I think that's pretty normal. I don't think you're going to go bald. Just make sure you aren't putting so much gunk in your hair or over-combing it. And don't worry too much about your hair. Cuz I think worrying about it too much leads to more hair loss.. because you become obsessed/stressed about your hair. lol. If you really think it's a serious problem, maybe you should go see a doctor.

Hair loss is caused by many reasons such as malnutrition, illness, tension and other health problems. It is normal to shed some hair each day as part of a cycle of growing new hairs and loosing some. Badly damaged hair breaks at the scalp. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.
