i have a year old persion and she hasn't lost her ear hair is this normal?

What??? They DON'T lose their ear hair - that's how Persians look! It's totally normal for them to have long hairs coming out of their ears. Please don't try to clip it or pull it or anything like that - that's how they are!!!



FYI there's actually a word for it - it's called ear "furnishings" - isn't that funny????



PS: Mariam - you're wrong. Both males and females have ear furnishings.

Believe it or not, but the hair helps them hear.



The movement of their hair causes vibrations and helps them hear -- which is why cats have better hearing than humans. Wonder how well we'd hear if we had ear hair? ;-)
