If you have curly hair will you lose your curls completely with relaxers/perms ?

NOOOOO.... my hair is extremeley curly and i flat iron my hair all the time and people say that will make your hair straighter but mine ont he other hand doesnt right after i wash my hair it goes right back to being extremely curly

If you have curly hair will you lose your curls completely with relaxers/perms ?

depends .what race are you?

If you have curly hair will you lose your curls completely with relaxers/perms ?

no since they will grow out curly and not straight. the relaxer only affects the hair that's grown out, and not the one that is yet to grow.

If you have curly hair will you lose your curls completely with relaxers/perms ?

No...you are only relaxing or perming the hair that is already dead (not the root, where it would change your hair growth and texture). Most people have a problem with relaxers lasting!

If you have curly hair will you lose your curls completely with relaxers/perms ?

no

If you have curly hair will you lose your curls completely with relaxers/perms ?

No

If you have curly hair will you lose your curls completely with relaxers/perms ?

unfortunately, no.

after 3 months, you have a curly top and a semi-straight bottom.

If you have curly hair will you lose your curls completely with relaxers/perms ?

yes thats what relaxers are relaxing the curl. Only if you roll your hair then the curl will appear.

Hair styles for round face ...?

I have a round face and very long hair - reaching my rear. Do you know what kind of a hairstyle would look good considering my face shape? I don't want to lose length from my hair - I have no plans of cutting it at the back. Do you think side swept bangs would look good - partially covering the eye?

Hair styles for round face ...?

The side swept bangs are a good idea. Get you're hair long layered and then use a curling iron to flip you're hair in.

Hope this helps.

Hair styles for round face ...?

I have a round face and i have swept bangs and medium length hair it works great for me..... i have gotten alot of compliments on it.

Hair styles for round face ...?

I have this problem too! I have all one length long dark blonde hair and I just wear it in a ponytail or leave it down straighten it n curl the ends. But I'm about to get layers all the way around to help thin out my long thick hair for this summer! Good luck with yours!

Hair styles for round face ...?

I think that someone who has a round face would look great with drop curls.I think leaving it straight down makes peoples faces look fatter.

Does my long hair hinder my public image as a professional lawyer?

I am a law student and I have seen attorneys with long hair. I believe the style or look one posses is irrelevant to how one practices his trade, craft, or profession. However, I do believe there are many unspoken words and I would like to know if upon becoming an attorney I should lose the long hair (it resembles like Depp's hair in Blow) which is at shoulder length. I'm asking an honest opinion from those who are in the legal field.

Thank you

Does my long hair hinder my public image as a professional lawyer?

As you will soon find out, appearances will matter in the legal profession. If you are going to become a sole practitioner, then the way you wear your hair is up to you. However, if you are looking to join a firm, then you have to "fit the part".

I have encountered some male lawyers with long hair and even some with unconventional hairstyles. They are either pegged as "eccentric lawyers" or they are respected practitioners within their area of law. In both cases, the Bar seems to tolerate them.

At the end of the day, you have to go with what you feel is best in your circumstances. Law school and the practice of law in general are tough enough (I know from personal experience). Just as long as your hair is clean and neat, you make the call.

Best of luck in law school!

Does my long hair hinder my public image as a professional lawyer?

no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no

Does my long hair hinder my public image as a professional lawyer?

i dont know any thing about law but i do know hair. if you like it and it looks good on you than keep it. if you feel it will interfer with your chances of being a lawyer then cutt it.

Does my long hair hinder my public image as a professional lawyer?

I might not hire you as my lawyer but I would be willing to pay for "other services" if more than your hair looks like Johnny Depp!!!

Does my long hair hinder my public image as a professional lawyer?

I would not hire you as an attorney but I would get high with you.

Maybe that is your problem???

Does my long hair hinder my public image as a professional lawyer?

sadly, people just see your apperance first. you cant see personality and skills. i hate to say that the general view of long haired guys isnt terrific for a professional job. my honest opinion is to cut it. its too bad that people assume things without actually getting to know the person. good luck!

Does my long hair hinder my public image as a professional lawyer?

Unfortunately-- yes. To lot of conservative people it is unprofessional. Good luck in school.

Does my long hair hinder my public image as a professional lawyer?

In my opinion..no..Long hair looks nice as long as it is clean and combed. And if you are a professional looking dresser you'll definitely be stylin(isn't that the correct word)(Do they still say that?) HAHA

Does my long hair hinder my public image as a professional lawyer?

Unfortunately, most people still judge you on how you look (first impressions). My boyfriend ran into the same problem. For whatever reason, older people still associate long hair on men with juevenile delinquents. I think you'll be more successful in the law business, and command more respect, with a short hair cut (I'm so sorry - I LOVE long hair on guys).

Once you're established, grow it back (like that crazy guy on CNN who wears the cowboy hat and fringe jacket).

Does my long hair hinder my public image as a professional lawyer?

Some may frown on your hair length, But I never put stock on looks alone.

It all boils down to how well your credentials speak for you.

Like the old addge says. one can never judge a book by its cover.

Does my long hair hinder my public image as a professional lawyer?

I'm not in the legal field but I worked at a law school for a few years and the "clean cut" ones more often got the better jobs and/or were hired sooner. Sad to say the professional legal environment is so closed-minded as a rule.

Part of your consideration should be where you want to locate. Northeast urban would be more open to nice long hair than, say, Houston, TX, or any smaller city or community.

Does my long hair hinder my public image as a professional lawyer?

Personally I think as long as a professional looks neat and tidy I am happy, long hair is OK so long as it is clean and say in a pony tail and not all straggly.

However some people may prefer to see a clean cut young person and be put off by long hair.

Does my long hair hinder my public image as a professional lawyer?

I think clients would not take you seriously.

The image of a lawyer is someone serious and powerful and long hair diminish this image.

When I was in Law School some guys got crazy looks and long hairs but when they started to practice, g.bye to this looks.

In legal world everything is appearence, you sell to your clients the image: your car, your haircut, your suit. If they see a lawyer with this stuff, with a good image of serious lawyer and nice stuff they think: hey, this must be a great lawyer and he must win lot of cases because of the things he owns.

Short hair gives you a serious image.

Does my long hair hinder my public image as a professional lawyer?

Assuming you will practice in front of a jury, then your image will lend 'credibility' and either help or hinder your ability to prosecute or defend..

If you look like Depp, then a jury likely won't take you seriously, and your ability to 'win them over' will be hampered, especially if you face a lawyer who looks like what the vast majority expect.. Perception is reality.. those who look the part, are expected to be the part.. those who have hair that's longer than the guy they are defending, a jury will assume guilt by association..

Does my long hair hinder my public image as a professional lawyer?

I'm not in the legal field, but my opinion on this is that...I think that some people will look "down" on you with the long hair, I wouldn't!! But..people are so weird these days...you being in the legal field I think that you should have you hair cut short. Lost of Luck to you...

Does my long hair hinder my public image as a professional lawyer?

One of my best friends in law school had long hair that he kept in a pony tail or down on his shoulders when he trimmed it. He graduated at the very top of our class and was hired by one of the largest International firm in the country. We were all waiting to see whether he'd cut his hair. Well, he hasn't. He's been there 7 years now and he is very liked at his firm. He represents some very large corporations. I believe that some people may have said something to him, but considering how smart and hard-working he is, no one cared much. It's only hair, he is very articulate and professional. Now, I don't know whether you can make yourself invaluable and whether that's what saved him, and whether had he been average, he might have been asked to get a haircut. And I am waiting to see whether they'll make him partner or suggest he cut his hair first. You don't have to be too concerned about unspoken words. It's not like keeping your hair long is a constitutionally protected right. They'll let you know if they want you to cut it.

Does my long hair hinder my public image as a professional lawyer?

what style. what color. do you take care of it. or is it always messy. think of that. and why does your avatar have short hair??

Does my long hair hinder my public image as a professional lawyer?

yes.

I have lost alot of hair in the past 30 days. What could be wrong?

I am a woman, 45 yrs. old and I'd say it was only about a month and I brushed my hair, and went to put it in a pony tail and it feels extremely thinned out. I don't have patches, but I had thick hair and now I have thin hair, very thin.

I have lost alot of hair in the past 30 days. What could be wrong?

I had a very simaler problem and after seeing a nutritionist i learned that i was not eating enough protein. If you are concerned go to your doctor. Some blood tests can be run and you may feel better about it knowing whats causing it. There are so many different explinations for hair loss though. Good luck.

I have lost alot of hair in the past 30 days. What could be wrong?

Stress or change in hormone levels may be a contributing factor.

I have lost alot of hair in the past 30 days. What could be wrong?

Are you eating enough protein and taking a multivitamin?

Are you or have you gone through a recent hormonal change (menopause or pre-menopause)?

Have you recently gone through something stressful or tramatic (death in the family, surgery, etc)?

All of these things can cause it. Remember, hair is in a 3 month cycle so whatever you were doing roughly 3 months ago is usually what is causing it.

At your age though, my best guess would be hormonal. For women, that is the cause a lot of the time. Even going off birth control pills can do it for younger women.

I would suggest taking hair, skin, and nails vitamins and taking the herb Dong Quai if it sounds hormonal to you. Also, there is a chinese herb called Ho Shu Wu that might be effective.

A good Shampoo and Conditioner for Black African Hair?

I have lots of problems with my african hair. My hair is dry, short (not really but I want it longer), brittle, very thin (lost lots of hair), thirsty for oil (I have to put lots of oils in my hair), rips easly (not strong), curly, wavy, puffy (when I brush it, or others), frizzy like african hair and it is sometimes soft when I put lots of oils. I used lots of shampoo's and conditioners but none of them worked real good on my hair. I tryed Herbal Expression (rose hips) and also the shampoo (fruit fusions) but it didn't worked real good, tresemme shampoo gave me some volume and silkness but I lost lots of hair, Pantene Provine was pretty good but never gave me the hair I wanted. All of these shampoo's and conditioner worked but I still lost lots of hair, have some balled spots on my head, had to use lots of african hair oils and it kills me, and always have to braid my hair, if I don't then it will be dry and yeah. Continue...

Cream of Nature Shampoo and Conditioner is really really good.I use it and it keep my hair lookin silk, bouncy and most of all super manageable. Now with Creme of Nature Products they have varieties of shampoos and conditioners just for you. Some that specialized in dry ,brittle hair, color treated hair, course hair and many more. You can find these products in Walgreen's,Walmart, and your local Hair stores.

Try it, you will love it. Good Luck :-)

A good Shampoo and Conditioner for Black African Hair?

Mizani is the best shampoo and conditioner and they have a WONDERFUL oil sheen. I like those and also the DOO GRO oil for when I'm under the hair dryer (in place of a wrapping lotion).

The Mizani can be pricey, though, but worth the investment if you're serious about taking care of your hair.

A good Shampoo and Conditioner for Black African Hair?

well you should use pantene leave in conditioner to stop it frizzing when out

but to really hydrate your hair

forget blow drying, it takes all the water out of your hair

then weekly use a hair mask

and bi weekly use vofive hot oil treatment it better than other hot oils as it's heat ativated so it will wont make your hair look greasy or dirty

lastly use either hair spray or mouse not both

sometimes too much product can take the life out of hair

ATTENTION HAIR PROFESSIONALS! How can I get hair like this?

I have healthy hair, but I have some problems.....

When I go outside (its winter right now) when I have my hair down it loses its shine and doesn't move around ALOT anymore. The coldness makes my hair look dull and "asiany". What I mean by that is MOST asian hair doesn't move around because the strands are SO coarse.

And Also, in certain lights my hair looks dry and dull. What I mean is you can see every single strand and none of them shine, so it looks like its damaged. I want my hair strands to all BLEND IN and SHINE so it looks healthy.

So basicly I want hair to ALWAYS move around alot, shine like CRAZYYY (I'm serious) and LOOK and feel silky! No matter what the lighting is or if I go out some place COLD!

Here are examples of the hair I want:

1. This video is how I want my hair to move and SHINE INTENSIVLY like this commercial. I know its edited but I want my real hair to be like this! : http://youtube.com/watch?v=EBoOGil4Brc%26amp;f...

cont. in details

ATTENTION HAIR PROFESSIONALS! How can I get hair like this?

If it was possible to have hair like that, don't you think a lot more people would?? I think it has to be natural to make it shine like that, or go to the hairdresser EVERY day.

Hair loss due to birth control or weight loss?

I've been on Tricyclen 21 now for about a year and a bit now. I've also lost a lot of weight this past year. I have also been on birth control since I was about 16 but I was on a different one before tricyclen. I'm losing a lot of hair and developing a cowlick. Any solutions or ideas about this? Could it be my birth control or diet? How do I make it stop?

Hair loss due to birth control or weight loss?

It is most likely your diet that is causing the hair loss. Believe it or not, hair needs vitamins to stay healthy. However, in terms of needs, there are many parts of your body that need vitamins more than hair. Therefore, if you are dieting and cutting back on food intake (and therefore, vitamins), there is not enough left over for your hair. If you take some vitamins, this should help. Take a multivitamin and add either Vitamin E or Gelatin capsules as well.

Hair loss due to birth control or weight loss?

Diet. Take vitamins.

Hair loss due to birth control or weight loss?

Probably the diet. Take a good vitamin and use a good shampoo for thinning hair. They do sell vitamins specifically for healthy hair and scalp.

"Medications - Some prescription drugs may cause TEMPORARY hair shedding in a small percentage of people. Examples of such drugs include some of the medicines used for the following: gout, arthritis, depression, heart problems, high blood pressure, or BLOOD THINNER. High doses of vitamin A may also cause hair shedding. "

Tips To Stop Hair Loss %26amp; Keep Healthy Hair Here are some hair care tips that you can use to help stop hair loss and keep your existing hair healthy and looking great. Please don't take these tips lightly. They are very important . The only thing they require is your time and commitment.

- Massage your scalp with your fingertips (not your nails) daily to stimulate and promote circulation to your scalp and reduce excess fallout. Invert your head while you shampoo %26amp; massage your scalp. This helps promote blood circulation to the head.

- Essential oils %26amp; tea . To stimulate scalp circulation, massage the scalp with rosemary essential oil or rinse hair with tea made from sage.

- Comb or brush your hair and scalp gently in the morning and at night. This helps break up hardened oils (sebum) that are clogging your hair follicles. Doing this alone has produced new hair growth. Do not over do combing or brushing.

- keep a distance from dryer's heat. When using blow dryers, always keep the heat a good distance from your scalp and hair. Avoid heating the scalp and hair excessively. Excessive heat will increase hair loss, and excess fallout.

- Avoid getting hair creams, lotions, styling gels and sprays directly on the scalp as they will clog your hair follicles. Use a light hold spray if you must.

- After swimming in a pool, shampoo your hair as soon as possible to remove any chlorine residue. Chlorine is extremely damaging to the hair and scalp.

- Avoid over-exposing your hair and scalp to the wind and sun. Good hair care over a long period really makes a difference!

- Avoid tight hats and caps as they contribute to poor circulation, depriving the hair of proper nutrition and stunting new hair growth. The sweat, dirt and grime around the rim inhibit follicle health and contribute to build-up.

- Always consult your health care provider for extreme causes of excess fallout and thinning. A medical condition or medication could be causing hair loss side-effects.

- Strive for balance and harmony in both your personal and professional lifestyle. High stress factors can cause your body to react by fluctuating hormone levels. This in turn causes excessive oil secretion (sebum) which results in hair loss.

- Pregnancy, nursing, menopause, and even birth control medication can cause constant changing factors on your nutritional needs and hormonal levels which contribute to hair loss and excess fallout.

- Avoid "crash and fad" diets. Proper nutritious meals along with vitamin and mineral supplements are a key factor for healthy hair and skin.

- Good hair care starts with awareness. These hair care tips, if followed consistently, will reduce excess fallout, hair loss, and promote new hair growth.

- Reduce hair loss effects by increasing your intake of vitamin C found in fresh fruits and vegetables, particularly citrus fruit and juices, parsley, broccoli, green peppers and black currants. Take a vitamin B complex everyday or brewers yeast. Increase your intake of protein found in meat, fish, liver, wheat germ, dried cooked beans and peas, tofu, cheese, milk and eggs.

- Take dietary supplements such as Vitamin B6, zinc %26amp; saw palmetto. Supplements are useful when you can't get enough from natural food sources.

- The Chinese believe that hair is nourished by the blood, and therefore influenced by the kidney %26amp; liver. Treatment is aimed at these organs using fleece flower root, wolfberry fruit or mulberry fruit.

- Eliminate stress or else it can be disastrous to your precious hair!

- Get enough sleep. Sleeping well is essential for the health of your hair as well as for the rest of your body.

There are ways you can help stop the grease from appearing but you have to work at it.

Do not wash everyday. The cleaner your hair is the more it can seep into your glands and harder it is to get rid of. When you do wash make sure you are washing with a cleaning shampoo and scrubbing the build up off. Take in mind that you also have to have a ph-balanced mild shampoo and lite scrubbing is recommended. Try to avoid conditioner at the roots, apply in the middle or on the ends.

Try to avoid oil in your daily food intake. And do eat more vegetables. You could visit your doctor but only after you check and consider your diet, drugs, alcohol, and your fatty food intake. Let's face it we see what McDonalds can do to your heart in a month, can you image your hair. You would be dripping everywhere.

Maybe it's time to change your shampoo. Ask your stylist what she or he would recommend. Avoid using shine products at all costs. Keep away from two-in-one shampoos and conditioners and any frizz serums.

To fix at the moment, rub a little Talcum Powder on your dried hair at the roots. Just make sure you wash it out. I wish they would event that magic product, but this will help until they do.

Here are 10 tips for to keep your hair strong, smooth, shiny and beautiful!

1. Keep your diet balanced, and eat protein and calcium rich foods. Stay away from junk foods! This is essential for healthy hair.

2. Foods and supplements to nourish your hair:

* Beans

* Yogurt

* Almonds

* Vitamin B

* Fish

* And of course, the magic potion for beauty - WATER

3. Before washing your hair, comb it well to make sure all knots has been loosened from your hair.

4. Before applying shampoo, use warm water (35 to 38 degrees Celsius) to run through your hair to rinse and wet it thoroughly.

5. When applying shampoo or conditioner, don't use your fingernails to scrape through your hair. Instead, use your palm and fingertips to massage your scalp and hair gently, in circular motions. This will help the circulation and also help to keep your hair shiny and smooth.

6. After rinsing away all the shampoo, run water over your hair for at least another half a minute (3 minutes is best) to ensure there are no remains of shampoo remaining in your hair, since this will cause a great deal of damage to your scalp.

7. When applying hair treatment products, do so just after you have washed your hair, so that your hair can absorb all the good stuff while it is half wet. This will be the best time for it to absorb nourishment.

8. NEVER go to bed with your hair wet! Hair that is half wet is most easily broken, and if you sleep during this time, your hair will be rubbing against each other, damaging your hair in the most terrible way.

9. Too much pressure may lead to hair loss! Relax... try some good relaxation methods such as soaking in a nice scented bath, listening to music, and eating healthy comfort foods such as strawberries and grapes.

10. Perming and coloring seriously damages your hair. Avoid it as much as possible. Also, when using hair setting products such as gel or putty, use as little as possible, because they hurt your scalp and hair. Wash them out thoroughly afterwards with a shampoo specially created for removing styling products.

My daughter had her hair Japenese straightening when she was 12 she lost alot of hair and and lost it's curl

I have not ever heard of "Japanese hair straightening", yet any chemical that is used to straighten the hair is permanent and can cause damage to the hair. The hair must grow out and be cut off to see it's natural texture and density. Also at that age your hair usually changes on it's own and that's probally what happened. When children enter their teens, their hair usually will become thinner and those with curly hair often lose some or all their curl. I would suggest making sure all the damaged hair has grown out to examine the curl pattern that has now developed. Then you can choose to alter it if you desire to. Also it's common for your hair to change again as you enter adult hood(about 20). So be aware that changes might occur around these times and be precautions about permanently altering the hair at these times, untill you can clearly see the new pattern and thickness.

Hair thickening?

I need some help with my hair, at the moment, it's very thin, if I straighten my hair, it gets greasy after a few hours. The sides of my hair are half-way into the 'wings' except it poofs outwards. I've wanted to thicken my hair for a while now but never got around to it, i mainly want my hair to lose the poofy-ness of the sides and lose the grease. Any tips on changing my thin hair? also, it's semi-long.. ( hair past my earlobs, almost down to my chin if straight, and bangs are roughly over my eyes).

Hair thickening?

Try buying some thickening shampoo, after awhile that should help your hair.

:]

Hair thickening?

even if you buy thickening shampoo and its not gonna make a huge difference. there is no way to change the "thickness" of your hair. your pretty much stuck w/ it. You can get hair extensions tho !

Hair thickening?

BackComb your hair.

Take a section of hair and hold it upwards, then take a comb or brush and brush towards your head (backwards)

You should get a knot looking thing at hte top, repeat that all over your head, and your hair should get thicker, I find it also helps with grease, or tends to hide it better.

Theres some good youtube "how-to" videos you cna check out :] Another thing you could do is see your hairdresser and tell him or her your problem, and they'll know what to do.

Hair thickening?

I have thin straight hair and I have found that keeping it cut shorter (just to my ear lobes) and layered makes it look thicker. Find a good hair stylist and take their advice on a new 'do. They might cost a little more, but it is worth it. Talk to them about what you want before they do anything and make sure they understand. The good ones can visualise what looks good for your face.

Also, I use Aussie ausome volume shampoo and since I have been using that, my hair appears thicker. It really does give you volume. I leave it on for about a minute before I rinse.

good luck

Lack of milk or nurtient does it effect hair loss?

I just wondering if lack of vitamins and lack of drinking milk does it effect hair loss? I'm 20 now and since I was little I don't really drink milk. But I eat others nurtientions food for the vitamins. Does it effect hair loss? I have very very thin hair and everytime I wash my hair seems like I'm losing a lot? What is the best way to stay helathy hair?

Lack of milk or nurtient does it effect hair loss?

Diet is paramount in the condition of ones hair. You do need calcium from milk or another source to supply the calcium for good hair. Most daily vitamins don't have calcium in them, but you can buy a supplement for it. The best way to have healthy hair is to eat a balanced diet with lots of fruits and vegetables.

Lack of milk or nurtient does it effect hair loss?

absolutely yes.

Lack of milk or nurtient does it effect hair loss?

i think it can. i'm not sure. but test and see if you have alopecia. that's a hair loss desiese and my sister has it. but yes try drinking more milk, like eight glasses a day. i hope that helps. :)

Lack of milk or nurtient does it effect hair loss?

Yes, I think some vitamins effect the hair, if I remember correctly b. But the most important thing is get LOTS of protein. That is what hair is made of, and without it, you don't get any. Dairy, meat, (soybeans if you are a vegetarian) are good sources.

Of course the vitamins add to the strength and vitality of your hair.

Lack of milk or nurtient does it effect hair loss?

i thibk it might, but it could just be your shampoo. some shampoos like head and shoulders are really bad for your hair not only because its dried out, frizzy, and damaged, it makes it fall out more because of the harshness. try sunsilk anti-fall shampoo. it hidrates my hair , cleans, doesn't dry it out, and it helps for hair not to fall out as often. the conditioner is horrible(residue), so I would reccomend to use your own.

Lack of milk or nurtient does it effect hair loss?

NO

Lack of milk or nurtient does it effect hair loss?

Eat protein content food like DAL, FRUITS ALSO TAKE SOME VICTIM TABLETS WHICH WILL HELP YOU ALSO USE GOOD OIL

LIKE OLIVE OIL +COCONUT OIL IT WILL HELP YOU MAKE IT LITTLE WARM BEFORE YOU APPLY IT AND THE DAY BEFORE YOU ARE HAVING YOUR HEAD BATH WHICH WILL HELP YOU A LOT ALWAYS TRY TO DRINK MILK IT ALWAYS HELP YOU.

Lack of milk or nurtient does it effect hair loss?

There was a recent study done by the Cleveland Clinic about iron deficiency and hair loss.

"Although the data suggests that iron deficiency may be linked to several of the most common kinds of hair loss, there is insufficient evidence to recommend universal screening for iron deficiency in hair loss patients, the Clinic researchers report. Further research on this subject is necessary."

Since you are very young I would recommend talking with your doctor about the situation. They will recommend what type of vitamin supplements you should be taking.

They might even suggest a thyroid test, since hair loss is a symptom for thyroid disease/disorders.

Anyone experience hair loss with a copper IUD? I have the Paragard and have been hearing this happen

I keep losing a bit of hair..... not sure if I should be concerned...

Anyone experience hair loss with a copper IUD? I have the Paragard and have been hearing this happens to women

I have found no connection:

Side Effects %26amp; Health Risks of Paragard

When ParaGard is put in place, cramping or pain may be experienced. Some women feel faint or dizzy. The most common side effect of ParaGard are longer and heavier periods, and some women have spotting between periods. Usually, these problems go away after a few months. However, if menstruation is very heavy or does not stop when it should, call your doctor. You should also call your doctor immediately if you miss a period, because this means that you might be pregnant. Pregnancy can pose a serious health risk for any women with an IUD in place.

Some serious health risks have been associated with intrauterine devices, including ParaGard, are pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), perforation of the uterus, expulsion of the device (the IUD falls out), and difficult removal (the IUD gets stuck in the uterus and may require surgery to remove). A comprehensive list of possible side effects and health risks of the ParaGard IUD are listed below.

Documented Health Risks for the ParaGard IUD

Abdominal infection or adhesions (scar tissue)

Allergy to copper

Anemia

Backache

Blood poisoning

Bowel obstruction

Cervical infection or erosion

Cysts on ovaries and tubes

Death

Delayed menstruation

Difficult removal

Ectopic/tubal pregnancy

Embedment (IUD surrounded by uterine tissue)

Expulsion (IUD comes completely or partially out of the uterus)

Fainting and pain at the time of insertion or removal

Fragmentation (breakage) of the IUD

Infertility

Spotting between periods

Miscarriage

Painful intercourse

Pelvic infection (PID), which may result in surgical removal of your reproductive organs, including hysterectomy

Perforation of the uterus (womb) or cervix (IUD passes through uterine tissue)

Pregnancy

Prolonged or heavy menstrual flow

Infected miscarriage followed, in some cases, by blood poisoning, which can lead to death

Vaginal discharge

Side effects and health risks. Common side effects associated with the copper IUD are increased vaginal bleeding and menstrual pain. Taking nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (Advil, Motrin, others) helps with these symptoms. Some women may also experience a pelvic infection within the first three weeks of placement, as the insertion process may introduce bacteria into the uterus. Your doctor may prescribe antibiotics before insertion to reduce the risk of such infections. The copper IUD doesn't protect against STDs. IUDs also carry a risk of spontaneous expulsion 閳?which leaves you unprotected against pregnancy 閳?or piercing (perforation) of the uterine wall during insertion.

You might want to check other possibilities for your hair loss like the thyroid gland for instance.

Anyone experience hair loss with a copper IUD? I have the Paragard and have been hearing this happens to women

Have you been stressed out lately or changed your diet at all? I've got the Paragard and my hair's been doing fine~ don't rule out the IUD as the cause, of course, but check into other aspects of your current lifestyle, too.

What would cause the squirrells in my neighborhood to have lost all the hair on their tails?

Now, they just have long thin tails like rats-eeewww.Is there a cause for them not having big fluffy tails?

What would cause the squirrells in my neighborhood to have lost all the hair on their tails?

Squirrels undergo a complete head-to-tail molt in the spring.Their tail hair is lost in the spring and then comes back only in the spring. Also mother squirrels will use their tail fur to line their nest with.

What would cause the squirrells in my neighborhood to have lost all the hair on their tails?

Do you happen to live near a nuclear power plant?

If John "Breck Girl" Edwards began to lose his hair would you still vote for her?

You wish Giuliani, McCain, Thompson or Limbaugh had hair that good. Romney does, though. Of course, it's not what's ON his head that matters, but what ISN'T IN his head.

Why are you obsessing about Edwards, anyway? It's Hillary and her ever-changing hairstyle you've gotta worry about. Soak the rich! Pay off the Dubya Deficit! Take the troops out of Iraq and send them to kill bin Laden like Bush promised! Cut off the lobbyists and save the environment!

Edwards... Really. The guy couldn't outdebate Dick Cheney, how's he gonna outdebate Hillary, Obama, Richardson and the rest?

If John "Breck Girl" Edwards began to lose his hair would you still vote for her?

Dumb ditto heads can't think for themselves.. need to post stupid insults regurgitated from the loser himself.. Rush.

How does it feel to be so stupid you cant think for yourself?

If John "Breck Girl" Edwards began to lose his hair would you still vote for her?

No way. I love the way her hair shines. She's so pretty.

If John "Breck Girl" Edwards began to lose his hair would you still vote for her?

Watch it, or her wife will call you on national TV and ask you to stop picking on her. How sad that Mrs. Edwards had to defend "Mr." Edwards "manhood"....

If John "Breck Girl" Edwards began to lose his hair would you still vote for her?

I don't think I would vote for her if she loses her hair. I think that is where her brain is.

LADIES - Have you ever lost a bunch of HAIR? What caused it?

Please explain how or what caused your hair to fall out and how you would avoid it in the future. Thanks

LADIES - Have you ever lost a bunch of HAIR? What caused it?

No, I haven't myself but my sister did and it can be because of stress, your shampoo, the temperature of water- don't wash you hair with very hot water. I amount of heat styling you do or just in your family. But there are many ways you can resolve it:

- change you shampoo every month

-Wash you hair with warm or cold water.

-minimise heat styling and products

- Rub oil in your hair every fortnight- I suggest almond, coconut or olive...

I hope this helps!

I still do loose my hair but not as much as i use to and that is because I was told that if you us a lot of different hair products that can cause hair lose or if you us hair sraghting irons that can also cause it.what i would do is stop using so many products and take hair vataminsto strenghen it.

LADIES - Have you ever lost a bunch of HAIR? What caused it?

Also, pulling your hair back tight can lead to increased hair loss.

LADIES - Have you ever lost a bunch of HAIR? What caused it?

i lost hair because i pulled it back to many time

LADIES - Have you ever lost a bunch of HAIR? What caused it?

LADIES - Have you ever lost a bunch of HAIR? What caused it?

My (first) wife lost a couple of hanks of hair prior to our wedding. It was diagnosed as alopecia areata. It was caused by stress. However, i dont know how to rid your life of stress :) I dont remember if she had to use a cream, but it wasnt a life threatening problem, just hard for a young lady to handle. Good luck and see a doctor.
